Cracked front surround camera
Not sure what happened, but there is crack on my front surround camera. From the looks of it, might be a direct hit from a rock. Anyways apart from a distorted image everything works fine. Obviously the corner view feature is kind of unusable now, not that I used it much before. I checked with parts and its $550!
That's crazy for a camera but it's BMW. Any ideas on how I can fix it cheaper even after market? I'm told to replace it, I need it programmed as well. That's a lot of labor at the dealer. It definitely bothers me which why I'm asking for advice on getting this fixed cheaper. Last edited by alphaod; 03-08-2016 at 08:09 PM.. Reason: Correct bad spelling due to posting from phone |

Insurance an option? Not sure how your coverage works. Here in BC, it'd be a quick call and a $200 deductible.

I chose a $500 deductible, so not worth going through insurance. I will look at the pick and pull lots.

^^^ Good call on the Pick a Part. Let us know how you make out. Should be enough of them out there. Unfortunately, a good percentage of the scrapped cars will have sustained front end impacts...hope you can find one!
