Interior specs e90/e92

I think I've seen the tech spec diagram like this here before - a diagram showing the dimensions of both models like MT and other magazines do. I'm looking for a half cage for my car and have read different opinions. Some sell e90/92 fitment, others say have to custom fit.

I also found a guy who fabs cages for a lot of the track cars in SoCal that run nasa.

Just wondering if the e92/90 fitment actually really work and wanted to look at interior measurements from rear seat deck to either the c pillar or shock tower. I'm assuming since the lower half of both cars are exactly the same it should work since overall dimensions are different due to roof height and rear bumper.
