UK BMW X5, 9000 Departed Plant, where is the car?
Hello!
So my build was completed week 6, Tues 9th Feb, shortly after, Fri 12th Feb, the code changed to 9000 departed plant. It's now week 8, 24th Feb and still the code is 9000 departed plant. Does the UK get further updates, ie at sea or in transit code changes? Or is it now a question of waiting until the dealer can see the car has entered the UK? |

If you get the chassis number off your dealer you can track the ship the car is on. Roughly takes 3 weeks to ship from build finish to dealer taking delivery, but that can change if your lucky to drop onto an outgoing ship.

It will come in by ship to Southampton, I think, then off to BMW (uk) ltd vehicle preparation centre Thorne, then to dealer. There is a thread on here, somewhere, where you can see the route of the ships and even track the ship via their website. Also a thread on the vehicle prep centre at Thorne, somewhere.

Thanks chaps!
So I wont get a status update, from 9000 departed plant, until it hits English shores? I'll take a look at the shipping site, I have the link and I have a vin number. |
