Servicing car soon
I'll be bringing my f15 in for first service since purchase. I have coded various things and have a 6wb cluster installed. Will I /should I do anything prior to bringing in? Hoping not to swap out cluster to stock but would appreciate any information from anyone else who has also done this mod. Thanks in advance

I would just mention it to your CA. If they need to re-flash or update your ECU, you'll lose any custom coding you have added / changed.

^^ Not that I know of. The only way it could would be if the coding caused a component failure as a direct result. Or, if during the coding process you caused other systems to malfunction and needed the dealer to remedy.

Just make sure you tell them to DO NOT update the cars software. I would even go as far as printing a do not wash and do not update software sign and having it stuck right over the center dash area so whoever working on it can't miss it.
Your 6WB might cause the update to crash/fail rendering your car useless. Alan

^^^ This! Read up on the 6WB retrofit thread, but people usually pull it, put in 6WA if they know the dealer will flash/update.

I've had my CA do this for me...hate their lousy wash jobs. I'm sure for the bulk of people it's fine, but the risk of scratching and missed spots isn't worth it to me. The one time they did do it, I had to wash it again when I got home.

Yeah my CA already knows not to wash my car when I have it serviced. Last time they did it I had scratches everywhere on my E60 black sapphire metallic paint.
