What is this piece I found in the trunk?

SOLVED!

I found this piece rolling around in the trunk of my M4 cab.
I looked everywhere and I can't figure out where it came off of.
There is no part number and the only writing is "ABS,TPE"

The raised part in the centre is some kind of high density rubber with little grip.
It looks like it's suppose to hinge on to something...

My dealer doesn't know where it goes and the BMW tech doesn't know where it goes..
Is it even from the car?

Thanks in advance!

Clearly that is the Left blinker fluid reservoir cap. You should have two of them, one on the Left, your's is obviously missing its cap, and one on the Right. They are hard to see and are located just aft of the rear deck speakers on the M4's. On the M3's they're a bit trickier to locate as you have to remove the trunk ballast panel directly behind the rear seats.

As I'm sure you're aware, blinker fluid has an extremely low enthalpy of vaporization and therefore will likely require a top off. I'd strongly suggest the Motul RBF Factory Line fluid!

Best of luck and happy motoring!

Could it be a grocery bag hanger in the trunk?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

It was the left side holder for the windscreen which gets folded behind the rear seats!
