Parking Error 404!

Hi,

I messed up. Soooo, I was parking my X5 yesterday, but I wasn't parking it Normally. I was parking it on REVERSE. Add to that, I didn't notice that I was gonna hit the boulder in my Garage.

so I hit it, but Thank God Damage wasn't that big, and nobody besides the Car got hurt! I didn't pay attention to the Sensors as it was Windy and they were beeping all over the place and sometimes not beep at all. I just thought I'd share my Act of Jackassery as my brother called it here for you guys.

Thoughts?

Bummer dude, I have to ask why you have a boulder in your garage though? Is it just to add a backstop or something?

Looks like you luckily only damaged the bumper and not the door or fender metal.

Well no. The thing is, I have a 2 Car Indoor Garage, and there's this boulder in the middle of the door so it would be like a separation for the entrance of each car... I was reversing and You know the rest of the story ^

I thought the damage was way bigger because the sound I heard when I hit it made me Pee my pants a little thinking that it had bigger damage, but thankfully it was just this.

Looks like you just grazed the tailpipe also - which sucks.

Not long after getting my M50d, I was reversing on a street to park and I misjudged the camera (compared to my last car).

I came within a cm of reversing right into it but thankfully the alarms going off stopped me just in time. Heart stopped for a minute.

I ignored the alarms because It was extremely windy and the alarms were not very accurate.

It's alright, nothing your local body shop can't fix. Check that the exhaust tip is undamaged though, because I guess that's a replacement piece.

Could've been worse I guess, still sucks though. Time for a trip to the body shop...fairly straightforward fix. Damage to the exhaust tip too, might need to be replaced.

Feel for you - ouch. I was in Dusseldorf underground car park and pressed the remote tailgate release and forgot the roof was lower than the lift. Luckily no damage - you live and learn.
