275/30/19 (f) 295/30/19 (r)

I'm contemplating on upgrading my tires to 275/30/19 (F) and 295/30/19 (R). My M4 has stock suspension and wheels, with 10mm spacers all around. The concern I have with this setup, is potentially having a tire/wheel combo that is not quite tall enough for stock ride height. Has anyone done this tire setup with or without spacers? If so, would you please post pics and opinions? Thanks

I tried once, I had those wheels and tires off from my previous E92, they looked very funky with wheel gaps and all sort of things. DONT DO IT.

If you don't care about the look, that's fine.

I've tried:
- stock (255/35, 275)
- 275/35, 295/35 (current)
- 265/35, 295/30 (friend's setup)

in a combination of performance, looks, and hydroplanning, the last setup was the overall winner... and that's what I'm going with from here on out.

Personal opinion but I think 275/35 and 295/35 would have too much sidewall and end up looking like beefy truck tires.

275/30 and 295/30 is the setup i will be going with as well but I'm getting springs to address the wheel gap issue, you already have the spacers, why not invest a relatively small amount for the springs? with the tires not being quite as tall as stock tires, you can drop it without worrying about rubbing and I think you would love the finished product.

275/35 & 295/35 with Eibach Springs, no rubbing issue at all.

Wow that looks really great, i'm currently looking for some FI-Rs as well but not sure about 19 or 20. I'd love to mix (front 19 x 9.5 and rear 10.5 x 20) similar to the GTS but i fear our fu*ing german TÜV will not approve that one...

I never said I didn't "like it". It's just that the 265/35 + 295/30 combo did better with Hydroplaning (in florida that's BIG), and felt better in the curves under hard turning (track use).

Both are much improved over the OEM sizes.

I have already gotten the 295/30's, was thinking I should bump up at least a size in the front, but I'm seeing on Tirerack that 265's in Michelin generic Pilot Supersports aren't available, the only thing available are OEM versions of the tires, drop back down to 255's and the generic's become available again. That is a 265/35.

What about 275 35 19 front and 295 30 19? Do you think it would be better than stock? After installing JB4 the car feels much faster but I lost all the grip.. Also I have trofeo r 235 35 19 front and 295 30 19 rear as an option which one would you think have the best performance? I don't care about the looks as long as performance is better than stocks..

that would be a bit unbalanced imo... You are increasing your fronts by over 2% with your mile/revs going up, where as your rears are actually DECREASED by nearly the same amount (~ 2%), so you would have a net of close to 5% discrepancy from the originals. NOT GOOD!

Traction control, at the very least, would be all over the place, so that alone would discourage me from even trying that, and I would bet a soda that it would be not as good as the other options mentioned.

But would it make too much difference them being 295 30 19 instead of 35? I know it would be better if they were 35 but these are second hand and cheaper
