Self closing doors opening while driving?

Hi All,

This has happened to me about 3 times so far. I thought the doors didn't close properly but it happened again this weekend even after I closed the door myself. We where driving on the freeway and suddenly heard the wind and then a message on the cluster. Wth.

This is a known issue, I read about before buying my X5. Take it to the dealer, there should be some sort of TSB on it.

I wanted this option because I could gently close the doors and not wake up my sleep son. After reading about the spontaneous door openings, I quickly scratched that from my build.

What year is your car? Build date?
TSB is #51 16 14
I just had all four Bowden cables and actuators replaced last week.

That's interesting. I thought they fixed this issue already.

This happened to me only once. On the same day I took delivery.
That was 18 months ago and since then never again.

For newer builds, yes. '14 and early '15 need the updated hardware, hence the bulletin.
