Yes I'm using the European one right now, remember you will need the FSC code

The only weird thing is that the system did not ask me to enter the FSC code I had been given for this. It started installing right away and at the end it didn't prompt to enter the code either. The installation took about 30 minutes perhaps from a FAT 32GB USB thumb drive. |

It is supposed to be required, and I had one. In my case it did not ask me to enter it. I ignore why. I suggest you get the FSC code and have it ready so you don't get stuck. You are supposed to enter it before the software starts installing.

I did have to use the FSC code purchased from the source above. Worked fine; thanks to Mexecutioner and http://bmwfsc.ca/map-data/ !
Updated my 2014 X5 50i M Sport from a 2013 to the 2016 map version for $35 USD!!!

I asked about this and was told that BMW probably loaded an FSC in the vehicle that would allow up to 2016-1 maps due to the production date of the vehicle being close to the expiration of the version of maps the vehicle came with.

I'm sure this is amazingly obvious, but where do i see what version of Nav software i have currently? I have an August production 2016 X5 and curious if i have 2015 or 2016 map. I looked around in idrive but couldn't find (but am admittedly still getting used to the system - have only had the car a couple of weeks). thanks!
