Ditto. Once only and that's it. Recent threads talking about the same "No Signal" error followed by a reboot, then all is well.

Its happened to me twice in the last month after two years of never happening. If I didn't know any better, I would think its running Windows.

May I correct you. Windows would just freeze and stop working until you restart the car.
These seems to be OSX, where it just rebooted by itself.

Haven't had this happen, but sometimes the Bluetooth 'crashes' on me and my phone disconnects. Turning BT off and back on in iDrive seems to solve the problem. It hasn't happened in a while, could just be my phone.

Yes this has happened to me a few times in the past, but hasn't happened recently. Glad I'm not the only one.

I posted an image in the F15 Issues thread about a week ago. I took delivery of my '16 F15 in late December and have had it happen to me twice this month. The first time I stopped the car and hit the SOS button. By the time the bmw rep answered the phone the iDrive display had rebooted. He suggested calling into a BMW guru.

It happened a second time at the grocery store a week or so later.

Both times, the car had been driven for approx 10-20 min before being parked. And about 5-10 min after being parked restarted (ie. Running into grab a few items). Both times resulting in a system reboot.

Not anymore. The first gen iDrive was on Windows CE. The current one is on QNX.
