alternative tire sizes for the stock 18" wheels

are there any alternative sizes for the stock 18's that would open up more tire selections?

something like a Dunlop star spec, RS3 or equivalent

tire sizes or brands? Going up or down a size is possible. For instance, I am going up to a 295 from 275's on my next set. A 10" rim can handle it.

My last car had a 10" rear and I put 265's on it because I couldn't find 275s.

So yes you have some leeway.

Yup. You can run 275/35/18 and 295/35/18 on the 18" 513M wheels with spacers. Only problem is tire availability is low. Not too many choices on TireRack at this size, but they do have the MPSS.

I don't see rears available in the sizes we are talking about. 18's are expected 2/9, while no ETA for 19's. I don't even need tires now but ordered two rears to at least get in line.

Hence the low availability, but the sizes exists.
