Question Got Zip Grip - any other winter product suggestions?

I picked up some of these in case of an emergency. I would highly recommend them as they are relatively inexpensive.

Any one have similar winter product suggestions? Or thoughts about this particular product?

I recently came across a sponsored ad on Facebook for this product. Very intriguing; interested to see if anyone has real-world experience using them. For the price, it's worth keeping a set in the trunk!

Trying to get your hand in the wheel well to pull these thru might be the one challenge. But looks good for emergencies for the price.

Snow socks are my preferred proven method for emergency use - and I've never used them. They aren't like studs, chains, etc which can last quite awhile on dry road (albeit while tearing up the road). But they offer a number of advantages too.

I have used in the past these traction aids http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/fo...l#.VogsVK_EirU with success, but since then I have learned to avoid situations where I get stuck and definitely will not park in winter on snow banks!

I'm curious how these work if the underlying tire is a summer performance vs. an all season. I couldn't find much on the web about it. It seemed like these were to be used in addition to a all season/winter tire. Any experiences?
