Turbo'd 997 911 and Charged e9x m3
Anyone owned both or driven both?
Narrowed my next sports car to a TPC turbo equipped 997 911 or supercharged e92 m3 DCT only. Thoughts? Don

They are both high-performance German cars, but aside from that they are very different. Drive both of them under the conditions that you intend to drive whatever car you purchase (and in the same manner) and see which one you like better.

You mean an aftermarket turbo on a standard 997 or a 997TT? I had a tuned 997.1TT and it was awesome. I'd rather have that than a supercharged M3, but it depends on what your needs and preferences are. If it's your only car an M3 will probably be more practical, but a 997 will be a lighter, nimbler, more fun sports car.

Paging Longboarder I think he has a 997 Turbo S and a DCT ES650 E92 so he's probably the best person to ask for comparison.

Thanks for the comments.
The car would be a daily...kinda. I do not want a stock 997 turbo. I want the aftermarket TPC.

Are you looking at a 997.1 or 997.2? They are vastly different.
Also not sure what TPC is. I have a write up on the difference between a modded e92 and a 997.2 Turbo S. In the end I prefer the M3. I still have both cars. I'll try to find the thread.

I wont be able to afford the 997.2. It will be a 997 2006-2009.
