Oil cooler replacement problem...
Hi guys,
I have purchase a used oil cooler coming out of a 2010 M3. My car is a 2008 made in 02/08 !! Both holes where the oil lines needs to go are not the same size on the new oil cooler ive bought versus the OEM one that was on my car... is there a solution to make it work its costly and i want to avoid buying anothe roil cooler Thanks in advance for the help -Mike |

Vehicles produced before April 2008 (04/2008) will require new OEM BMW oil lines. After April 2008 BMW changed oil line design.

Is the other end of the oil line the same, or are those connections different as well?
Not for me, for OP. It'd suck to buy new oil lines and still have problems at the connection point on the other end. |

...or you can measure and cut your oil lines. However you need to make sure that ABSOLUTELY no metal shavings go into your lines or else its game over... But if you find the right shop they can do it. good luck.

i will go to the dealer and ask them if i can only buy the fittings !! the oil line itself is the same its just the connectors that wont bolt into the newer generation oil cooler
