I see the same thing you see.... Not always, but sometimes. It bothers me. I dont know if its the light or the paint.

My F30 has the same light. I have never seen that on my silver car. I don't think the light itself is generating a yellow tint simply because it's not uniform. It's random.
I think some sort of residue is showing up under the UV light. Have your tried scrubbing that area really good with a cleaning agent? ( i.e, something that won't damage your finish of course). Just guessing...not really 100% sure...

When it rains and I get home and get out of the car, I have noticed mine throw really white mixed with blue lightning almost crystal ball like effect. I think it's the dirty water beading off the paint with the light hitting it. Gives off a different color than what you would expect, my car is Silverstone by the way.

EDIT: Could be dirt on the lense itself. You might want to take a soft cloth and wipe the light down and see what happens.

Mineral grey here, but I noticed that wonky lighting too. It's like the white balance is off (other photo hobbyists can relate)

I always see this when I wash the car. Its something to do with the light coming through the water. Refraction as probably someone said. Just take your finger and wipe away the water covering the LED under the handle, turns bright white again.

If you look at the LED light itself, it has a yellow square in the middle... i feel like thats causing the yellow lighting

The white LED's used have phospors in the yellow and blue regions to create a 'cool' white under normal conditions. When it rains water accumulates in the lens area in the path of the light causing refraction which separates the blue and yellow spectral components of the LED light. The pattern changes with the distribution of water. It has nothing to do with the paint and will show the same pattern if an alternate screen like a piece of paper is placed under the LED.
