Wheel Locks

Have a slow leak in one tire and went to a local tire place to get it fixed but didn't realize there were wheel locks on the wheel.

Only had the car a little over a month and have no idea where the key is. Looked all over. Guessing I need to get a new one.

Is there somewhere to do that? Dealership? I didn't get the car from a BMW dealer. Do they need any info other than the VIN?

Thanks for any info!

You can buy them from the dealer. I recall you can just purchase it. Here it is on ECS's site.

In your trunk, passanger side, you will see tool box like below.
Left bottom thing is for your wheel lock.

Right. I guess this was something that has been discussed before. Not sure why BMW did that.

It looks to me like there are different "codes" for the same part...

33/SW17mm
34/SW17mm
36/SW17mm

etc

Is there a place I can verify the code for mine?

You need to get the number of the wheel lock kit. I have oem locks on both of my e90's (m3 &328i) and they are different.

Also they are very fragile, I broke one on my 328i that's the only reason I know that about the code and went to my m3 hoping it would be the same but it wasn't

Check under your trunk mat. There are a couple of cubby holes there or lift your compressor.
I'm sure you checked glove box, center armrest

The dealer has a master key set.
