Idk how that's a fair replacement..

Haha what a joke, this quote is just to funny: “You could see smoke coming out from the wheels, he was taking the curves that fast.”

OMG really?

I'll bet nothing was 'broken' on the car. he just didn't like the fact it was run hard and put away wet.

Not sure what the issue is. Unless Top Gear crashed the car in a clip that they didn't show, how would power sliding the car around a track for a day "ruin it?" Top Gear probably trashed a few sets of tires that's about it. The brakes squeaked because I'm guessing that the car had the CCB. Not sure about the clunk when "leaving the motorway." Maybe he just didn't like the stiff suspension?

Ummm... Not properly broken in?

I doubt anyone would want a car which was treated that way right off the lot. (Unless specifically because it was driven by a "celebrity" in a TV show...) I know I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole...

Agree.

Clearly the buyer was one buying for the name not the car (he is buying an M3 and he doesn't understand what a drift is or what the point of getting the back end out on a track is? jesus)

anyway, sounds like the 330d is more his style and speed.

I seriously doubt that the F80 driven by the Top Gear has ruined the car during this short period of time. This car was basically built for track driving...

Jeremy Clarkson wears jeans and you know the one thing that can ruin an F8x is jeans!

You really need to stop commenting in this manner G4BR13L before you've read more posts from this forum. You're basically suggesting this is a car.

I didn't know you could see the information of previous owners...

Also, I would imagine Top Gear would just rent the cars and not buy them for a simple shoot?

Just the sarcasm and humour man....

The first part of her comment was joking about all the threads here that seem to suggest our wearing jeans ruins these cars (the seats crease, bolsters are worn, etc - as though the cars were protected from wear and tear)

The second part was the sarcastic comment about thinking this is a 'car'. If you read the articles, there seems to be shock that a car can be 'thrown around a track' and then sold to jonny Q public. However....of course it fucking can, particularly this car. The idiot who bought this particular M3 seems uttely clueless on what he was buying or how it should be used.

That was the joke man....that was the joke.

What Myzmak said above. Your comment was an excellent one, I'm just unable to compliment people without getting hives so sarcasm is my friend.

“It’s outrageous, I have an eight-year-old daughter and three young nephews whose lives have been risked"

This now makes me wonder if the article is real. I mean, no real M owner would let 4 kids under 8 in their car, right?

330D is perfect for him. Tire smoke wont be an issue, that's for sure.

The current record is six kids and three dogs, two of them German Shepards, one jack Russell. All loaded were soaking wet and making a ton of noise.

I still don't get it, this what I wear when driving my F82 around the block, I thought this was common sense:

I made the mistake of wearing jeans during the break-in period and had to pay 15.000 euro for replacing all leathers. And because I was also wearing a hoodie I accidentally broke the M4 badge on the drivers seat which apparently was connected to the crankshaft, so that broke too and I had to pay 35.000 euro to replace the engine. Hard lessons were learned.

But you have an M4, so that is not an M3 record

True, not that impressive for an M4. We all know the M4 can hold more people and dogs, while at the same time being lighter and better looking

You got me there, everyone knows the M4 has more room and capacity for transportation.

Thanks Shakira, you always make me look bad.

Agree with Lups. Only solutions are to lemon it and start a class action.

This has to be the worst blow: "After the issue was raised, the dealership replaced the M3 with a BMW 330d."
