Not sure what the issue is. Unless Top Gear crashed the car in a clip that they didn't show, how would power sliding the car around a track for a day "ruin it?" Top Gear probably trashed a few sets of tires that's about it. The brakes squeaked because I'm guessing that the car had the CCB. Not sure about the clunk when "leaving the motorway." Maybe he just didn't like the stiff suspension?

Ummm... Not properly broken in?
I doubt anyone would want a car which was treated that way right off the lot. (Unless specifically because it was driven by a "celebrity" in a TV show...) I know I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole...

Clearly the buyer was one buying for the name not the car (he is buying an M3 and he doesn't understand what a drift is or what the point of getting the back end out on a track is? jesus) anyway, sounds like the 330d is more his style and speed.

You really need to stop commenting in this manner G4BR13L before you've read more posts from this forum. You're basically suggesting this is a car.

Just the sarcasm and humour man....
The first part of her comment was joking about all the threads here that seem to suggest our wearing jeans ruins these cars (the seats crease, bolsters are worn, etc - as though the cars were protected from wear and tear) The second part was the sarcastic comment about thinking this is a 'car'. If you read the articles, there seems to be shock that a car can be 'thrown around a track' and then sold to jonny Q public. However....of course it fucking can, particularly this car. The idiot who bought this particular M3 seems uttely clueless on what he was buying or how it should be used. That was the joke man....that was the joke.

What Myzmak said above. Your comment was an excellent one, I'm just unable to compliment people without getting hives so sarcasm is my friend.

“It’s outrageous, I have an eight-year-old daughter and three young nephews whose lives have been risked"
This now makes me wonder if the article is real. I mean, no real M owner would let 4 kids under 8 in their car, right? 330D is perfect for him. Tire smoke wont be an issue, that's for sure.

I still don't get it, this what I wear when driving my F82 around the block, I thought this was common sense:
I made the mistake of wearing jeans during the break-in period and had to pay 15.000 euro for replacing all leathers. And because I was also wearing a hoodie I accidentally broke the M4 badge on the drivers seat which apparently was connected to the crankshaft, so that broke too and I had to pay 35.000 euro to replace the engine. Hard lessons were learned. |

But you have an M4, so that is not an M3 record

You got me there, everyone knows the M4 has more room and capacity for transportation. Thanks Shakira, you always make me look bad.
