Weird noise, sounds like power steering pump but cant figure it out.

I have been intermittently having a noise that sounds like a power steering pump out of fluid or maybe a eaton type supercharger but I cant figure it out. It gets REALLY loud between 1000-2500 RPM when its doing it.

Its happened 4 times now and it usually only lasts one day before it stops, so every time I try to take it to the shop it stops and we cant find it.

Anyone had any issues like this? Its driving my crazy.

It stopped making the noise....

Check your pullies. Just had a similar problem - it was a bad pulley. Comes and goes. It will get worse.
