Headlight Error Code

Hi Everyone

I searched the forum and found a few topics on adaptive headlights errors and malfunctions but none was same as mine.
I get the headlight warning when I start the car (day or night), main warning goes away but I still have the little warning exclamation triangle in the corner. My lights work fine, I mainly drive with the adaptive feature off but when I turn it on the both lights move fine.
However, last week I noticed the little warning was gone just to come back the next day ... and I realized if I start the car with the light knob turned to the adaptive on position error will come on and go away, but If I start the car with lights off or in regular headlight mode the error stays.
Short of coding the error out anyone knows what might cause this problem?
