New 2016 M3 AW/SO
Hello!
I recently moved to Germany from the UK and one of the first things I did was put down an order for a new M3. I wanted to buy one in 2013, but a job transition put me off because I thought I would be heading back to the US. I ended up staying in the UK for another two years and bought a 2013 Clio dCI because I was driving 60mi/day and I wanted something with a good MPG. I sold it before moving to Germany, but it was a good little car and it helped me save a ton of money on gas, insurance, maintenance, and road tax. I have had a few sports cars (R32 GTS-T, R33 GTS, Evo 4, Evo 8, and Evo 3 RS) but this is my first luxury sports car and it was worth the wait. Those other cars where a lot of fun, but this is so much nicer! I had a massive smile on my face driving it home. Options: Executive Package Driver Assist Package Adaptive M Suspension Enhanced Bluetooth Manual Transmission Here is the first photo I took as I walked in to pick her up. She was the first thing you saw as you walked in. Just before firing her up to pull out of the showroom. Had a friend follow me home to drop her off so he could give me a ride back to work, so not much time to drive on our first meeting. Straight home and into the garage. The weather has been bad since Wednesday and I didn't want to risk driving without winter tires. It's only been raining, but god forbid I get into an accident and they blame me because I didn't have winter tires. Wasn't worth the risk. Today, the weather was decent, so I took her for a spin. Excuse the photo quality, took them with my Nexus 5X, didn't bring my DSLR for the ride and I don't feel like going outside to re-shoot it. It's cold outside. While I was doing some shopping, my buddy parked next to me, but I didn't see him in the store. I made a mistake when I ordered my winter tires. I thought the 255/40/18s where for the 513Ms...but they are for the 640Ms. The BMW dealer refused to mount the 255s on the rear wheels as they were preparing my car. I had a thread on Wheels/Tires, but I got no feedback on it. So, I ended up calling APEX and ordered some EC-7 18X9s to mount the 255s on. I really don't like the 640M, look very dull. My buddy has them on the M3 pictured above. Until I get those on, she is going to stay in the garage unless the weather is nice. Future plans: -Mode Carbon M4-type Spoiler -BMW Performance Splitter -IND Appearance Package (Gloss Black) -KW HAS -APEX EC-7 18*10 Squared Setup for Summer (I really like the look of the EAS Car) Last edited by ElSenor; 11-21-2015 at 07:23 AM.. |

Thanks, I've actually poured through your thread because you are running ARC-8s which is what I wanted for my summer setup. You're looks amazing dude. Still on the fence, but leaning more towards EC-7s now because of the EAS car.

These came in the mail today.
With the exception of a few sunny days, she has pretty much remained indoors. Didn't want to risk an accident in Germany without winter tires. Hoping to get these mounted tomorrow and start enjoying the car more! Specs: APEX EC-7 18X9 ET31 (Squared) Blizzak LM-32 255/18/40 Edit: Did some wheel calculations and will be ordering 15mm spacers all around. These will be enough for the winters (EC-7) to stance out just a bit and make the stocks 18s look badass in the summer. I bought AMPowerJ's KW HAS kit, so once I get that the front will get a much needed drop. Last edited by ElSenor; 11-30-2015 at 01:42 PM.. |

I'm picking mine up next week. I'm not sure if this thread helped me or not.
Serenity now! Congrats OP! I noticed you got the US version, damn side reflectors.

Congrats on your M3, post some pictures up when you get it! Yeah, it's a US version. The IND appearance package will take care of reflectors. Ordered it when they had their 13% off for Black Friday, so I'm expecting it next week. |
