Ceramic Pro
I'm thinking of getting some sort of paint protector applied to my car and I'm thinking of going with Ceramic Pro. Wanted to see if anyone has gotten it and what their experience has been so far. The product was recommended to me by my tint shop so I have no idea on pricing yet. I will be post my finding here when I talk to the shop that does it.

I looked into a couple of options and I will be pricing out Cquartz Finest rather the Ceramic Pro for a couple of reasons:
1. presumably its cheaper (will know on Friday) 2.much better glossy "wet" look, than CP and works great for Black Saphire I have 3.I have a 3 year lease and Cquartz lasts about 2-3 years, so it's perfect for me Just like Ceramic Pro it can only be installed by a certified shop and carries a serial number and a warranty. dealers can be found http://www.cqfinest.com/ will let you know. |

I had my car Xpel'd and put Ceramic Pro on.
I paid $1,000 for four coats of 9H and one coat of light. In addition, they also applied it to my rims and windshield. I absolutely love it however you have to go in yearly for a check up to maintain the lifetime warranty. |

I was quoted 1999.00+ from one installer of Cquartz, but he said he is the most expensive and it would take him 2+ days even before looking at the car.
The other one looked at the car and quoted $800 for 3 coats including windshield and rims and it would take 2 people the whole day. $800 is the range I heard about. They did a small area on the hood after showing me all holograms and swirl marks and even thou they didn't clay or applied Cquartz it looked quite amazing compared to the rest after paint correction. Cquartz will bring out more of a glossy shine and will really pop Metallic in Black Sapphire out. I scheduled for November 27. Will keep you posted. Just make sure you get the shop from Cquartz website: there is another product of Cquartz that a consumer can buy, and it is not Cquartz finest, the latter only Cquartz certified shop can get |

I had Ceramic Pro done to my X5 last year, it's just about a year now. Still pretty solid. I've only washed the car maybe 4 times. Water beads very well. No sign of wear on the coating. Car is garaged most of the time so that helps.
I'm due to get the annual service by the shop . Supposedly you need to do this once a year to keep the 5 yr warranty valid. Were you told the same thing? |

I am sorry guys but I can't see this stuff being any better than OptiCoat which you can get for less than $50 and apply it yourself. I think the Xpel or 3M film is good stuff as it can at least prevent chips and dings, but why on earth are you guys paying such crazy prices for this stuff?

There is a big difference between consumer grade and pro-only. Longevity and ease of application are the main ones...

Im also considering ceramic pro and was quoted $1000 in norhtern virginia with a coating for interior as well. I really wanted less washes in between and also protection from these damn birds. I am still skeptical but I think I might pull the trigger unless otherwise.

I'm looking to get some kind of coating right after picking up my X5. More than anything I want the car to have that super glossy look, but I don't wash my car nearly as often as I should. I'm between Opti-coat Pro and cQuartz right now, but am open to anything.
I'd love to hear pluses / minuses and recommendations from the group. |

I'm up in the Midwest and deal with salt and snow grime. Would something like this be a worthy investment for my new X5? What protectants are best for cold weather and salt?
