HRE Flowform suggestions/ opinions
Can't decide between the FF01 or the FF15. Thoughts or anyone have pictures on their car of these wheels? Also anyone buy these from a particular place and what were the packages/ specs chosen? What setup Do you guys think I should Go with? For stock suspension F80 M3. I've been offered $4900.00 for a set of flow forms (guy forgot to mention which one) with the tire package of Michelin pilot super sports in sky blue with TPMS sensors included. Also said its to be mount and Balanced whatever he means by that... It's priced on Wheels that will be 19"x9" // 19"x10"
Tires are 255/35/19 // 275/35/19 |

I'm not a fan of them. When I upgraded the most important thing for me was rear width. IMO there's no point in getting those to run a stock size tire. Just IMO of course

i forget if they are 19x10.5 or 19x11 in the rear. PSS are 305/30/19.
stock rolling diameter is 26.6", thread width is 10.9" 305/30/19 rolling diameter is 26.3", thread width is 12.1" With the OEM wheels being forged they are light and strong. I'm not sure how much the flowformed HRE's weigh but try and stay under 25lbs or so, anymore and you may notice a difference in how the car behaves. My last car had a 40ish pound wheel/ tire combo and the stock was in the low 50's. When I put the stock wheels back on I noticed the acceleration/ braking/ and turn in were negatively impacted. |

My wheels retail for about 20% more. I find them a to be a decent compromise between the HRE dream and something like VMR. It's really up to you, it's overwhelming but it's a very personal choice. What I did was focus on finding a fat rear wheel wheel that would fit nicely without spacers. That got me a width and a rough offset to look for. I planned to stay stock but ended up getting mine from pyspeed when they had a few floor models up for sale, it pushed me over the edge once I realized my stock wheels would pay for more than half of the new wheels.
I love the HRE flowformed wheels but I just don't think that are worth the money. |

I love the look of the HRE flowform but the offsets and sizes are weak for this car so I wouldn't buy them. You would have to run spacers to look good. Last thing I want to do on aftermarket wheels is run spacers. I would either save up for R101 from HRE, find some used ones, or go with an alternate brand like Klassen/BC.
There are a couple sets of used R101s up for sale at ridiculous prices. Maybe try lowballing. You should be able to find a used set of R101 without tires for about $5,000 IMO. |

Both. I had them already and was using them with the stock wheels and tires. I like the beefy look that the spacers provide. Redline Speed Worx who sold my the wheels and mounted them also recommended spacers. They recommended 10mm/12mm, i believe, but said that I could get away with 12mm/15mm if I so desired, which is what I did.

One of the best visual cues that the M cars has over the regular 3 series was the ability to design wheels with greater concavity and/or deeper lip. I know it's personal preference but I wouldn't run the same wheel that can be mounted on a regular 3 series. That's just wasted opportunity there.
