Weird screeching noise while driving
Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone knows what noise is happening? Lately when I've been driving a weird screeching noise has been happening on the passenger side

Yeah probably ..
Think people are joking with OP's situation because he posted no video with the noise . Me included ...Sorry OP for that ! So OP if you want opinions about your noise ...Please post a video of the noise , because how can we tell you what your noise could be...If we don't hear it...

This kind of thread is indicative of a certain college kids generation getting used M3s now. You would never have seen such an emptyminded thread start when you had to have real money to buy the car.

Having money to buy this car when new doesn't automatically mean you know how to diagnose a car or know what information is necessary to do so. Anyone who could afford a brand new M3 is not "emptyminded" apparently...

The OP should have been more specific concerning the location of the noise and whether either engine speed or road speed had any impact on the noise. My first thought (apart from a terrified passenger) was that a screeching noise from the front generally indicates belt slippage.

Search for "cowbell" - not kidding. I just had this on both rears last week. Had to pull the rotors to bend the heat shield back where it was rubbing/screeching.

Does the noise get more frequent (on/off) when driving faster?
Could be a wheel bearing if it is or a rock stuck (cowbell) in the rotor shield |

Honestly at even low speeds it happens. I was stuck in traffic doing max like 8mph and it was really loud

Can't really tell from video. I had something similar which is easy to hear when at low speed, but noise from front. Googled & found answer -> low power steering fluid. Drained remaining out, fill up again with new bottle and no noise after that
