Question about TPMS

I have tires I need to get mounted on some wheels, and also have the BMW TPMS sensors.

Is there any special programming that needs to be done on this second set of tires/wheels, or can i just have the shop mount and balance the tires, install the TPMS sensors, and then I can bring the tires home and put them on my car myself?

No special programming is necessary. Just have the shop install the sensors on the wheels and you can simply mount the wheels to your car yourself. Then you can reset the TPMS through your i-drive system and drive. They will reset shortly after.

I install wheels on my car myself also even though the tire shops mount and balance the tires on the wheels.

Yes thanks. I did this yesterday and had no problem resetting the TPMS through idrive.
