First time at the track.. Need advice

My time was 12.9 at 112 just pulling out. I tried researching why my car won't let me rev to 1.5-2k with my foot on the brake but I couldn't find anything. Do you guys have any advice or know something I don't? LC was out of the question today because my tires would just spin due to temperature.. Thanks.

Technically this is the first time at the drag strip, not the track. No advice for you on drag racing, but if you do start tracking, there are already lots of first-time advice threads, mostly in the Track subforum.

+1, and from what I've gathered the M3 is about the last car you want to take to a drag strip. Its engineering is not optimized for that kind of activity, it was track driving that was on their mind.

Can imagine it is still fun though..

M3ftw, change the title to drag strip and post in track section, Im sure Longboarder and the folks chime in and give you some initial advice.
