Thanks...

I'm kind of stuck at work! I put on the winter tires and I'm using the portable compressor that plugs into the cigarette lighter, which is the fuse that's gone.

Please tell me I don't have to go to BMW for a bloody fuse

Taken from another forum's post.....I hope it helps

Lighter fuse is located in the distributor block behind the glove box. Once you remove the access panel (i.e. back part of glove box), you will see the fuse block. On the back of the glove box panel you just removed should be a card that gives you the location of the lighter fuse (on my 2008 E90 it is a 20 amp yellow fuse at socket #8 - don't quote me on the exact location as it has been a few weeks since I looked). The fuse puller is a plastic part located almost dead center on the fuse block (sort of looks like a figure 8 with cutouts at both ends and could be orange or maybe white). Spare fuses are located near the puller at sockets that are not marked (and I don't remember if they are even shown) on the data card. There should be one yellow and I think one blue spare. Hope this helps.

This has got to be one of the stupidest BMW designs ever.

I have two large manuals that come with the car, but none of which shows what Fuse is for what purpose, just some cheap piece of cardboard with a schematic and no spare fuses?

Just try removing the battery on a vert. Same kind of stupid engineering crap. Good luck.

Thanks, I'll get out there and see what I can fine. It's just annoying… Unnecessarily annoying!
