That's excellent driving for a first timer. Seems you're already comfortable with the car sliding and making steering corrections.

I spent a bit time on skid pan before going to the track.

I was sliding everywhere that day with MDM. These tires are brand new P zeros. Maybe I need a set of semi-slicks, Any recommendations?
It could also be my aggressive throttle control

Nice driving man!

If I could give some advice, it would be to look ahead and to unwind the steering wheel when you're adding power. Those two times you got oversteer was because you still had a lot of lock on the steering wheel, and you didn't unwind.

Imagine having a string tied from your right toe to the 6 o'clock position of the wheel. If you have lock on the wheel, and you try to go back to power, the string will pull the wheel straight, in other words, unwinding your hands. This also applies to braking. When you begin to turn the car, you slowly start coming on the brakes (string is pulling your foot off the brake as the wheel turns).

Hope that makes sense!

Kudos for the good control, and hey, while SoFlo335 is right, unless you try to achieve best lap times or are short on tire budget, some oversteer fun adds the necessary spice to any track day.

Btw, love the water bottle g-meter! A classic ;-)

Also, you really should be shot for having that much crap in your car on the track. Not a good thing for performance, and horrible for safety.

Take it all out, including floor mats.

Appreciate the advice!

I had the same feeling when watching the video myself. Guess I'm too worried about running wide sitting there.
My friend made the same mistake but didn't catch the slide and totalled his M135 at the exact same corner 5 months ago.

I was too busy catching slide and shifting the whole day that I didn't realised I had a g meter in there until I watched the video:

I bet you will shoot me again when you see the child seat at the back.

At least that's' bolted in. Only earns you a mild whipping.

Seriously, though, it's unsafe to have loose stuff in the cabin. Can slide out and wedge under your pedals.
