the sound is still very similar. just quieter. i think they did a good job with asd. the sound is super accurate

I was a proponent of turning off ASD previously but after spending 2 weeks driving it during my ED and on the Nurburgring, I think I will just leave it alone. It did not sound bad nor was it as intrusive as I thought on my original test drive.

it is not just louder or quieter, there are actual pre-recorded sounds that are definitely injected in the sound system based on inputs. With ASD coded off/unplugged, there is nothing being injected in the sound system, so you hear the natural sound of the engine/exhaust from the cabin. check this post if you want more info.

One noticeable difference is the artificial sound used for the blip in the revmatch on downshifts.

Thank you. Very interesting to hear the comparison. My thinking now is ads is pretty much a moot point, maybe even being to close to bother with especially if you have to pay to have it deleted.
