Show us your imperfections!

For all my fellow OCD'ers out there, post the imperfection, scratch, dent, screw-up, etc. on your M3 / M4 that bothers you the most! Let us all wallow in each other's self pity

I have OCD but I just get any damage fixed and won't post it on here. Because you're going to be trolled for making a thread about small or almost unnoticeable damage.

A forum favorite phrase:

Couple of scrapes on the bumper. Squishy tires. Buffed right out.

Too dark to grab a pic right now, but I have a tiny scrape under my front bumper that drives me nuts. My wife thinks I'm completely insane for even noticing it, let alone caring about it

I think a few scapes, scratches, and scuff marks give the f8x the character and dignity it deserves. not

I let my 3 year old climb into the car with his shoes on. You should see the dirty scuff marks he leaves on the sill and leather next to his car seat. Mmm..

Wipes right off

I can't exactly show mine because it's covered now, but I accidentally ripped one of the slots on the bumper when I was installing my black grill. No one will ever see or know about it other than me and yet it still bothers me to no end

My right rear side bolster came from factory with a defect. The worst part is that I never noticed it, because it is under the seatbelt and very difficult to see, especially at night. I noticed it during the day, by accident when I looked back while driving. I sent the photos to my CA. He says they will replace it during my 1200 mile service....I guess we will see if that will actually happen.

The leather seems like it was not put on correctly, not sure if it was over tightened or not tightened enough. But it has a bunch of waves in it.

Here is the other side for comparison (which is perfect).

I know it inst too big of a deal, but still sucked to see that on a brand new 80k car.

What gave me depressed as the new car turned to old were (indicated in attached picture)

1. Front tires kicking up small rocks and mercilessly chipping this area.

2. About 0.5" x 1.5" sized spot (circled) where clear bra doesn't cover that got chipped.

3. Didn't realize clear bra on rocker panels gets smaller as it gets to rear... (circled)

Lastly... windshield that lost virginity after 3 weeks of ownership despite of all my effort due to unavoidable dump truck coming from the other direction on a 2 way mountain road.

Haha! I'm right with you on all of these. I've come to the conclusion that no matter how hard you try, it's impossible keep anything perfect (especially a car), so just try your best and enjoy it!

if you trace that one and go up a little, there is another smaller one.

That just looks like the side effect of having leather to me. I would have never even noticed that.

I had some weird marks on the A pillar, like it was strapped across the windshield. I took some clay to it and it got better, I'm sure with some polish I can get it out, but I'm not that concerned. Outside of that I can't recall any factory stuff.

I have a few good dings and chips in mine from driving though. That irritates me.

I have a propensity for hitting things.

Hit a curb while parking:

Hit a cone during autocross:

Hit my driveway at a bad angle:

But at the end of the day I still love it
