What is this on my paint?

Hi guys,

I've had the car for under 1,500 miles and to my horror saw some streaks on the lower side of the car which looked initially like some sort of sap but its definitely something that I probably ran over on the road and got flicked up on the bodywork. It's rock hard and despite all my best efforts, I can't remove it. I've tried (based on google and forums ):
* TurtleWax Bug & Tar Remover
* BEST Bug Off
* Goo Gone
* WD40 (forum recommendation)
* Stoners Tarminator
* Mothers California Gold Clay Bar

Basically, went completely overboard! None of the above even made the slightest of difference. Can anyone give me a suggestion on what the next step is or recommend a good professional detailer in Los Angeles, CA that could fix this issue for me?

Thanks guys! Here's some pictures of the car

Try a Terry cloth with some lacquer thinner on it.

Thanks guys, i'll try the lacquer thinner and if all fails it'll be straight to the detailer. I sent the pics to a detailer recommended on this forum and he said it looks like some sort of adhesive

Did you drive through any areas of new road construction?

Also, try an all-purpose cleaner. I used Optimum APC.

I had a similar thing, but mine was more grey. Between the APC, Tarminator, and some quick detailer, it's all gone. But I saw mine the day it happened; not sure how long yours has been sitting on the paint.

Looks like some sort of adhesive. Like contact cement. Id take it to a pro detailer.

It's probably been on the car for a week before I noticed it. That's my best guess. and I've parked it in the sun a couple of days. Oh well, I think I'll just take it to a pro detailer. I'll report back. Thanks guys

No idea. Try posting it over at reddit.com/r/autodetailing maybe. They always have a answer and solution.

Looks like an adhesive to me as well, based on the pics of course.

I'm curious what the outcome is here. What it is and what gets it off

Keep us posted

Garage List
Looks like carpet glue/adhesive/epoxy/etc. to me. I'm sure a good detailer can get it out.
