Has anyone bent / cracked a stock 19" rim?

Going back and forth between the stock 18s and 19s -- prefer the design of the 18s, prefer the size of the 19s. Sticking with passive suspension and not overly concerned with ride quality; most concerned with driving over the awful potholes and landmines that riddle the Northeast and potentially bending/cracking rims. The extra sidewall on the 18s would certainly help, but since both are forged, the 19s may be strong as is. Any input?

From what people have said that have hit major obstacles the 19s appear to hold up well.

What about tire damage with 35 tires (vs the 40s on 18s?)

Thanks

On my E60 m5 I cracked 2 front wheels. I have only 4k miles so far on the M4 with 19s, too soon to tell. I hope BMW has improved strength and quality. They are forged so that's a good thing. If you're going to track and looks aren't so important, go with 18s. They are lighter, cheaper to replace and more choices in tires.
