My buddy just did his Euro Delivery for his wife's F80 and I bugged him to get me the M performance carbon fiber door trims while he was over in Germany. But he uncovered that these are now available in the US.

I've been wanting these since they were revealed in the press release for the second wave of OEM M performance parts.

I have SO interior and I hate the SO contrast stitch on the door pull trims. I've been looking forward to them for a long time.

Well here they are in the flesh. One kit is a left and right piece making a pair. So F80 needs two kits, F82/3 needs only one.

They aren't lightweight like I imagined since I thought they would be made like the Mirror caps (lightweight dry carbon with tabs bonded to them). These look like normal trim pieces with carbon veneer vs wood.
But they do match the OEM trim perfectly so really that's all I can hope for.

Pics.

They do match perfectly with the interior trim.

I like it as well. I just don't have any alcantara in my car so I've been debating if it makes sense to have one

They look awesome, but am debating two things: 1) do I like them better than my Full Leather Stitched Door Pulls, and 2) might they show finger prints more than the leather door pull?

Pretty sure they are as the German BMW site is showing everything. The M Key cover wasn't available here for the longest time and now they are. He did get us those from Germany already.

Pretty easy.

I close the doors and turn the heater on max before I mess with interior trim. Let everything get nice an pliable.

There's little notches in the underside of the handle where the trim seats next to the inner plastic. Put your trim tool in there get it to initially release. Then work towards the outside a little at a time.

The metal clips may come off with the trim which is fine. Just take them off the trim and put them back in the door. This is easier than putting the clips on the handle and trying to put that in the door. The clip tabs are much smaller from the tab to door side than the tab to trim side.

Line up the top part and put that in the door first. Seat the clip closest to the top if necessary then finagle the bottom to the bottom tab in the door. Pull
On the metal tab in the door a little if necessary. Then once the top and very bottom tabs are aligned you can push the center of the trim towards the clips. I used my palms to make sure everything was seated.

Easy mod. If all of that was confusing bav sound YouTube has a good clip from the f30 and f82. But if you can't do this you shouldn't be around cars.

They look great. Thinking about just doing the front for now to go with all the other CF pieces. Did you do front an back?

The part number for the M Performance CF handles, 51412405921, includes both left and right parts?

Yeah. It was left and Right. For sedan you get two kits. For Coupe/Vert you get one.

Well I have the right tools but my door pulls will not move. I di not want to put too much force, but lots of force will not move them. Think I will take it to BMW to get it fixed.
