Dealer drilled front license plate
Hi Guys,
As the title states, my dealer decided to drilled wholes in my front bumper to mount the license plate frame. I can't blame them for this, as the car I am taking delivery of was originally ordered by someone else, therefore I could not instruct them ahead of time to not do this. While, the dealer is in a state that requires a front plate, I will be driving my car in FL, where a front plate is not required. Therefore, I need to find a way to repair or replace these wholes without ordering a brand new front bumper and respraying. I guess the only light at the end of the tunnel is that my car is AW, so color matching won't be as difficult as if I had MW. Can anyone comment on what they did to fill, or fix wholes on their front bumper, from a plate? Thanks in advance. |

It depends on your personality type. I plugged a bumper once with these color matched plugs. I was disappointed with the way it looked. Two holes and it might have worked but the four holes I plugged looked like shit. I had the bumper cover taken off and plastic welded, an absolutely undetectable and permanent repair. YMMV.

fill the holes with filler and then patch it with touch up paint the sand and polish the area so that it blends.
