Test Fit: Aggressive Offset BBS LM-R

Took these off my old car, mounted fresh tires from Supremepower and test fitted it the day I drove my car home.. Looks like the fitment is 50/50 if it'll rub when dropped, I'll probably try to dial in camber to -1.6 to -1.8 if possible to avoid rubbing once I get my springs in. Chime in on amount of camber needed? This is Pretty much equivalent to OEM setup with +20 spacers in front and +22 spacers in rear.

Specs are
20x9 ET8 w/ 255/30/20
20x10 ET18 w/ 275/30/20
Hankook Evo 2

Soon as suspension comes in I'll get this monster truck of a car sitting nice. Haven't test drove it for rubbing yet though.

I kinda love it. Rear looks like it won't tuck though. Time to get some coilovers with camber plates! Negative 2.5 degrees might solve your problem!

That's not what I want to hear!

I'm hoping -2 maximum will do.. -2.5 is too aggressive for me. I'll see what west end can do with swift springs.. What were your camber specs after alignment if you don't mind sharing?

I got -2.0 all the way around and I think it's perfect. The only problem is that I'm still on OEM wheels/tires. My new wheels come in soon though.

On the stock camber adjustment, I'm not sure how much you can actually go... I think you can go a little more than -2.0 for the rears. The fronts... not so much.

Have you tried the angled driveway test to see if it'll rub?

I will tonight as soon as soon I get a chance. Car is less than 24 hours new and i'm at work like a little boy before christmas waiting to play with his toy. The car's chassis/suspension is so stiff I literally could not compress the suspension with gym weights under neath one tire nor lifted up on opposing corner..

If I can get around -2.0 like you, I think i'll be ok. I just figured most people weren't able to dial in that much negative camber on a mild drop (swifts).

I just test fitted mine also. I'm starting the the build out to make them wider and they should fit perfectly. I should be able to run a 265/295 and not rub at all. Here is a shot from the test fit

you should be fine, it looks like the suspension has not settle yet.. but there is people running 11 with a 35 offset so your set up should not be a problem..

That looks amazing. I'm still waiting for my suspension to come in, but it looks like you're running 245/30 in front? It looks thinner than my setup. Are you currently running 245/275? I can't imagine fitting 295 in the rear at the moment.. I wanted 285s actually, but was afraid to do it. Are your offsets / widths the same as mine?

Just an update, I don't rub anywhere unless on full lock. But I don't rub on the metal fender, I actually rub at the INNER area behind the wheel; for example if wheel is full lock to left (driver side), then the rubbing occurs on the side of the wheel closest to the driver on the polished lip side of the wheel and rubs on the fender liner - its really slight, I can avoid it by not going full lock.

the fronts will be 10" and the rear 11". thats why. when a 295 is on an 11, most likely it will have a little stretch which should clear the fender. I was running a 20x11" et 27 with a 295 with minimal rubbing. and i was lowered a decent amount. Im planning on raising the car up some for this setup.
The wheel specs are 100% identical to yours.
I didnt run this setup at all. i just test fitted it, and now the wheels are apart to be rebuilt.

Ah I see, that makes sense. How much camber are you running with the 20x11 +27? I'm hoping to dial camber around 2.2 for front and rear.

I'm running as close as possible to factory specs. Nothing custom on my alignment.

I wouldn't say fits. The rear is very tight with a 275/30. I'd highly recommend widening them.

Agree. Front and rear is extremely tight, the front with a 255/30 is slightly less protruding than the rear with 275/30. Right now I don't rub, but will update when I am dropped.

That white sedan is proof that a drop changes the whole car.

Without a drop in your first pics the wheels and car just look meh at best (sorry, just being honest). Add in the element of low and the wheels actually look phenomenal on the car! Post up pics once your springs are on, I have a feeling these will look great!

Trust me, I can't explain in words how badly I want to lower the car, hence the original post I stated this monster truck of a car. This gap with 20s

This is probably the best stance I have seen on any F8x. Nice work!

I just dont get why people want to run 295's in the rear when we have room for 315's, or even 305's if you want to be more conservative. Wouldn't you want MORE traction?

a 19x11 +44 rear will fit a 305 and 315 no problem, especially if its not an R-comp tire
