Stage 1 and German gas
Looks like the gas I have available is German 95 octane, roughly equivalent to 90-91 octane in the US. The pump actually says US 90 octane on it. Is this good enough for BMS Stage 1? The car seems to run just fine right now with it, granted the tuner isn't on it yet. I'm still waiting to crack the 1200 mile break in period. Thanks!
Before anyone says go here or there for this or that...German 95 is what I have...period! |

Yes 95 RON should be good enough for the stage 1.
You can always get a usb cable and decrease boost by .5 psi if you wish to stay on the safe side

I understand it can be found, but military rations (gas stations) carry 95 and E10, which is still 95. I'm not going to pay $8 a gallon for American 95 fuel regularly. Glad to hear German 95 is ok!

Hmm, 98 is available all around and it´s not much more expensive. Sorry for raping your thread, i have a question regarding installation of BMS Stage 1. My TMAP Connector (the one that is easy to reach) sits really tight. At the bottom of the connector is a sort of clamp. Do i have to open this clamp for removing the connector? I´m afraid of pulling out the several cables…maybe a stupid question but concerns me…
Thanks a lot Guys !!! Harry |

As Mike said first step would be to get the BMS USB Cable. Once you have the cable download and install Burger Tuning interface. Connect the JB to the laptop and change boost additive to whichever value you like.
