Btw, using the desktop version, you can delete your own posts but not the thread. Don't give up and upload using the desktop version. Incidentally I did mine last weekend: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1202659

I did it myself, so it's only CQuartz Uk, not finest which is professionally done.

Can't say much about the hydrophobic characteristics because my car super dirty fast. It looks super shiny but so did other sealants too. Can only tell after few snow falls/rains and see. So so far I am content.

I've never been one for high priced coatings, always waxed my cars myself because I enjoy doing it. But the current car got the C Quartz Finest treatment and honestly there's no looking back, just love this stuff. Got back from a very dirty and wet drive the other week and hosed it off before throwing it in the garage. Not high pressure, just a regular nozzle on the hose. Incredible the way the dirt came off and I didn't lay a finger or a wash mitt on it. Next day I thought I'd do a proper wash but it could have easily passed for "clean" if I wasn't so fanatic about such things. Well worth the money IMO.

Sweet. That's the feeling I wanted to hear.

Tuesday cannot come quick enough.

I've had CQuartz and Modesta. As much as I LOVE the effect, the coating really do not last as they advertised to be. In both cases for me, 1 year max. However, with the coating I do feel more comfortable knowing that my paint wouldn't get f'd up even when I had to run through a quick hand wash instead of washing it myself.

Ok.

Car is done with the C Quartz Finest. I'm picking it up in the morning. I did swing by to look at her quickly this afternoon. In the controlled environment all I can say is holy sh*t. The paint is better then new, looks 3" thick.

This is after 4 days of work, one person only. Completely stripped the car, inside and out. Full paint correction, polishing... The whole 9 yards so to speak.

If while maintaining it, this shine lasts a year (less then the warranty) I'd do it again.

More photos (Untouched with filters, and other BS) to follow tomorrow.

This car is not garaged and has 15K miles on it.
