Front lip area scuff
I got the first blemish to my '15 M4 at about 2500k (bugged me for a day or two, still sticks in my craw). I got two very small scuffs under the lip by getting too close to a concrete parking block. The scuffs are so small I really couldn't get my camera to focus on them for a pic. I know this is likely to happen again, but I'd like to try to touch it up. Wondering what's the best way to do it considering I have little repair skill . I've never had much success with paint "pens" in the past. Are there spray devices available for small areas like this? Should I do light sand of area, etc... Thanks for any input.

Second, sounds very minor, so if you have a good detail shop near you, maybe they could fix it. I don't think you want to spray it. That's overkill. |

Its the price to pay with having the front lip. Its not going to be your last or your worse... I can almost guarantee u that. This is why i havent put a lip on yet. My last e46 had a lip...i went through atleast 4 sets of front lips before i learned my lesson. |

It's pretty much inevitable. However I got a custom splitter made from aluminum for my lip that sticks out just a little more. So hopefully it'll take the brunt of the damage.

I was thinking of doing something similar, thanks - just wish there was a way to touch up paint that looks better than a touch up paint pen

I used these guys: http://www.fly1motorsports.com/
They typically make custom splitters for 370z, but they can custom cut anything. All you have to do is make a trace out of your lip ship it to them and they'll make it for you. Ultra fast turn around time, got it in 2 weeks! Definitely gives me piece of mind driving around with a lip. |

If it makes you feel any better, I slightly scraped the bottom of my M-lip 2 HOURS after having it and the splitters installed . Irony of it all was I was leaving my clearbra guy after having the CF splitters wrapped...
Aw well, it's underneath and so faint I'm sure a heat gun on low heat will take care of it. Not worth it though.

This isn't meant to be a dig, but the outcome of a touch up paint repair depends almost entirely upon the skill of the guy using it. I suck at it, but it's something that I've seen done well and something that i feel strongly that i should be able to do well.
