Brand new full leather - should I apply leather masters now?
I just picked up my M3 this week and ordered it with black full leather. I'd like to keep it in this pristine condition. I have a fresh bottle of leather master's protection cream.
Would it be a good idea to apply the cream now while it's still fresh?

I did that right after mine came in, putting some leather vital before as a first step wouldn't hurt either

Thanks for the tip. I don't have the Vital product so I ordered a bottle and will go ahead and waste a day next weekend getting it protected.

Ditto, cleaned my SO interior day one with LM cleaner, followed by protection cream. Doesn't take that long, one hour tops to do my coupe's interior.

Been using LeatherMasters on SO, no complaints. If you can, it's probably good to do the Vital first. When my car was brand new, I just did the whole process: Strong Cleaner, Vital, Protection Cream. Probably didn't need the cleaner...

I just finished applying the Vital cream then a coat of the protectant cream. Took about 2 hours as I let everything absorb and I was really careful on the dashboard near the HUD.
I've been a longtime Lexol user and this Leather Masters stuff wins hands down. It went on easy, absorbed really well, has virtually no odor and didn't change the finish or feel at all. The leather looks just as clean & new, no shine or greasy feeling. How often do people reapply this stuff? Once a year or so?

I did mine this weekend and I'm pretty pleased overall but I do feel like it can turn out a bit streaky if you aren't careful during the application of the leather vital. I wiped it on as evenly as possible then wiped the excess off with a microfiber. I let it sit for an hour then did the LPC. Overall very nice factory look/feel. Definitely not greasy.

You guys using microfiber to apply and clean up etc? Did you guys do anything with the steering wheel? The leather on the steering wheel feels different from everything else.

If was leather, I put vital and then protectant on it. Including the steering wheel and the center of the wheel. Everywhere. Absolutely no change in the feel or appearance.

it gives the leather all the nutrients it needs to stay soft and healthy.
