Michelin PSS vs Pirelli P ZERO vs Continental SC 5P
Hi,
As I collect miles with my F82, I started to think about the tires. The title says it all. What do you guys think about those three tires? Which one you think is the best (or better) for M4? If you have some links about test comparisions, or anything about it, feel free to share it here. Thank you in advance!

Not totally relevant but....
I have the PSS on my M4 and so far have no complaints. I had SC5p on my tuned M5. They were a great tyre, not as much grip as the PSS but in the dry I had no complaints I had P Zero Rosso on a cayenne TTS and a 997 TT. Very capable in the dry, a bit twitchy in the wet. Very, very fast wearing though |

I also have PSS on my M4, and and have no remarks.
But, maybe I want to try out Pirelli or Conti. Some of people told me that Contis cannot be compared with PSS and P Zero. But everything is different with different cars...

I was thinking, "maybe I'll post a Conti tire question...", but here is a thread already started - no suprise : )
Found this article on the C5Ps, a lot of people seem to think the Conti's are bad tires but the C5Ps are supposedly extremely different from the C3s on the last gen M3s. I have Contis on my M4, and had PSSs on all M3s, and so far they are performing great - quiet, grippy as hell, comfortable. Drove in rain yesterday and didn't feel it gripped any less than my PSSs. http://www.motortrend.com/features/c...t/viewall.html |

I've driven 6k miles on the ContiSportContact 5P in 18" sizes. I don't understand how/why this tire gets so much criticism. I'd give them an overall 9/10 based on my experience. I once drove through a monsoonal thunderstorm on an urban (desert) freeway. I'd estimate there was 2" of standing water within 30 secs. I dropped the speed down to about 45mph and the Contis tracked straight and true with nary a hint of aquaplaning. Very impressive for a summer tire.
