My car is getting it done right now, dropped it off at the detailer yesterday.

I chose to go with clear bra on the full roof because I dont know what fixing a carbon roof will entail. So better safe then sorry

And my previous car had 2 rock chips on the roof.

EDIT found this thread. http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1048005
i guess if you can spare the money get it done.

I would clear bra the entire car but this might be to costly. If this is a leased car that you are planning on returning I wouldn't spent my money on it though.

I got a quote of 6000 to 7000 euro for doing the entire car. You basically pay per panel. I would guess that you have to add 500 to 1000 euro to the quote you have received for the roof.

XPel Ultimate does not provide UV protection. See 5th FAQ from the bottom.

And if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for it?

I'm having the whole car done as we speak. Important to have it installed properly or it will look shoddy. I know things cost more in Europe, but 6-7000EUR seems steep. I thought 4500CAD was a lot for mine, but a good, experienced installer costs more. I would still get another quote.

I agree that 6000 to 7000 euro is high. I guess that the foil costs 2000 to 2500 euro and the installation takes 1 to 2 days I would say. So imho it should cost between 2500 euro and 4000 euro.

It is possible that my quote was also for paint correction, polish, ... but I am not sure as I only received a ball park estimate for my car.

I got one quote for the Whole Car for $5500.

FULL Front End Plus A-Pillar and Full Roof w/ wrapped edges.
$2,500

Though that wasn't the cheapest quote I got. And i'm sure there is a little room for negotiation on that.

That said, I'm gonna at least get the full roof, bumpers, full front fenders, full hood, A pillars, Headlights, and luggage load area done. got a price about $2150 on that from XPEL

Hearing these prices, $1200 for full front w/ wrapped edges isn't a bad deal I guess for Xpel Ultimate.

many are starting to ask for the Xpel Ultimate on the roofs of their F8X's as well for us.

like some mentioned here it doesn't hurt.

I have not done my car yet I just have the leading edge on the CF Roof.
