Out of State Car Shipment

I just wanted to share recent experience with having my car shipped. Actually 3 cars - my F10 (Dallas to Atlanta) to my dealer to use for pull ahead. The X1 for my mom (Atlanta to Miami) and my F80 (Atlanta to Dallas)

Worked with Jennifer who was recommended by my CA and each vehicle was picked up either that day or the next by the actual shipper. No multiple transfers, on and off, nothing. She even had the drivers text me pictures of the vehicles as they got loaded at the dealership.

She's phenomenal and does a lot of high end cars (even saw a Maybach on her social media) that she shipped. She's a broker and totally on top of her game.

For you guys that are shipping your cars from other states, drop her an email, I highly recommend.

I have used Jennifer as well at the recommendation of Adrian. When I used her services, everything went extremely well and I was very satisfied. I would use her again without question.

Thanks for the info. Are there active pull aheads right now?

I wouldn't use a broker, they have no control over the truck, driver or shipment. She may have good relationships but you never know and can't be held responsible. If your car gets messed up you're likely dealing with the actual shipping company.

I'd use someone that owns and operates their own trucks like Exotic car transport of Orlando, Reliable, Intercity etc. Otherwise you're just dealing with a scheduler.

No. He used his a while ago when the 6 month pull ahead was still in play.

She does both and in the event something happens you always dealing with a shipper or actually their insurance. By using Jennifer at least she knows the shippers history based on her previous experience.

Again, just my experience with 3 cars and Alpines exp too.

I see your car on their Facebook page. Looking sharp.

So little update - Out of curiosity I emailed Exotic out of Orlando. They fee was almost double for the same run (Atlanta to Dallas) and they could not pick it up for a couple of days.

Every car picked up and delivered in 2-3 days, and half the price.

In any case, I don't get commission I just believe in recommending people that do good business. Good luck everyone!

Well I had a an ETA from the port and the car came in 3 days after the ETA so I am not surprised. My CA warned me when he told me - he said X, and then said but it is usually a few days after that...

Ofcourse I thought - then why tell me X?

Thanks, that makes me feel better, but I still wish they could be a little more accurate. It's just an oversized package. Once the truck pulls out I would think the estimate should be accurate within 24 hours.

Still hoping for a Saturday delivery. So I can be doing this

At least you aren't in Switzerland, where they will throw you in jail and take your car.

Got it.

I would go back for the passes and chocolate, but not much else. If the Belgium chocolate is as good as they say, I'll just go to Italy and Austria for the mountains.

Was it worth it? My next ED trip will be heading North towards Belgium and The Netherlands so I could easily make a stop there. Looks like fun but also stressful. Would not anticipate being there long enough for full break in (if there is one next time).
