Most useful thing you've learned on this forum

For me it's probably the presence of the "secret" 12v outlet underneath the glove box. I can truly say that I never would have found that outlet if not for this forum - and now I use it constantly for my radar detector.

Local one - the fact of the Redmond Town Center Saturday morning exotic car gathering. Only been in the Seattle area for 3 years or so - didn't know that was a thing. Cool event.

A fix for those with F83 verts who were denied pass through rear seats. My dealer is now teed up to do the job. Initially he knew nothing about it - I wouldn't have known to ask if not for the forum.

For me it was learning about the DCT when driving in manual mode. If you are just cruising in say 7th gear and you want to quickly pass someone. Just mash the pedal to the floor and pull back once on the gear down paddle. It will drop to the optimal gear which may be 3 or 4 gears down.

A person CAN have a clean garage. I truly believe the photos posted are all fakes but it gave me hope for the future.

I've learned so much here, and I've met great people here. Best time waster I've ever had.

Crazy thing is, my E90 has it also but I didn't know. Drove it for 6 years without knowing. During 1.5 of those years I had a radar detector plugged into the center console with the cord streaming up the middle of the cabin.

I believe it was Homer Simpson that said; "D'oh!"

By far the info provided by Jason and the 1st owner ( UAE something ) prior to the car being available. After that you quickly learn that the only opinion you can trust is your own

A fair asking price for my car. At the time I bought my car, the entire country was MSRP, no discount (F8x not yet released). Found out where the discounts were and was able to use the info to negotiate a great deal on my car.

Also learned that I can make real friends online.

Yeah, who knew that shit actually happens!

If they are real friends, they'll try to make you get a car next time with a color and with a fun little optional extra known as the wife driving disabler. We'll see.

Learning about tracking my car from production then across the Atlantic, doing a PCD, and about all the great mods that I have just begun. Great group of folks on here…thanks for all the info.

You do know the difference between a 'friend' and a 'real friend' don't you?

A friend will help you move.

A real friend will help you move a body...

Anything you want to share regarding what you learned about what can fit inside the trunk of our cars???

Yeah c'mon the underside of our trunk lid isn't painted fer crying out loud! You'd corrode the metal.

(Underside of trunk lid not painted - another on the list of things I've learned. Just not high on the "I care about it" list. )

You're so bad at this. A pick up truck? Really? So the whole world can see the rolled up carpet with blood stains?

Van. No windows. No markings. Plastic inside. I've seen enough Dexter to know how this is done.
