Ebay exhaust tips, anyone have these from seller "Dvision"?

The last thing I need to do to rid my car of the ugly chrome (going for a blue w/ black accent look) is to replace my exhaust tips. I was looking into getting these:

Does anyone have any experience with these? My apprehensions are that the pictures shown are of an E92. The tips according to the ad stick out an inch further on the E90. This might be okay with a diffuser, but I don't have one, and am not sure if I even want to get one.

So I was wondering if anyone has any pics of these same exhaust tips installed on an E90 with, and/or without a diffuser? I was thinking of cutting an inch or so off the tips (or seeing if I can drill new holes in the OEM exhaust and mount them further onto the tips of the muffler) but I wasn't sure if this would work.

I took some measurements today. At 170mm, these tips will stick out 1 1/2" further than my OEM tips, which is unacceptable. So I am trying to figure out how I can mod these to make them the OEM length on an E90.

I was thinking of cutting the tip in half about an inch and a half from the end (with the holes) and then riveting the two pieces together so they overlap 3/4" (effectively making them 1 1/2" shorter). My only concern is that being made from stainless steel, the metal will be less pliable than I am hoping and I won't be able to get one piece inside the other when it comes time to rivet them back together.

I hate to spend $230.00 on something just to cut it to pieces and have it not work. There has to be someone out there that has bought these same tips for an E90

I've actually considered those, but at $375 they are far more expensive than the ones on Ebay, and it looks like almost exactly the same product. The seller on ebay recommended I cut the tip to the length I want (from the back end) and spot weld it onto my OEM exhaust instead of using rivets. I may go this route if I can find someone with a welder local to me.

I have these tips and I'm 100% satisfied.

As far as I know its the same product as the EAS tips, but cheaper.

They are also held on by rivets like EAS and OEM.

Oh wow i forgot about that thread. As you can see ive been contemplating these for awhile lol. how is the finish holding up? I was worried the black chrome might wear off. any close up pics of the finish?

Just get tips and weld em on rather than rivet and put them wherever you want. Or just trim off the back of the tip and drill small holes for new rivets. You're overthinking an easy task.
