Mods to VRS rear wing
I made a change to my rear VRS wing to make it more functional at the track.
I made a custom riser for it.... (fasteners are temporary for r&d) wing still has adjustable settings with the riser Test day at the track : The nice thing is it's a quick change to drop it back down for street, as in this previous pic.

Cool! I have a friend who is going to do the same for his Voltex Type 1 on an S2000 so he can have it sit higher.
I personally like the lower look with this particular wing, only because when raised up it seems a bit narrow for the body of the car. Still love this wing either way, though.

Thanks, the riser was not hard to do at all. ......thanks for the idea I had the same local upholstery guy that did my seats make the belts for me. They match the seat stitching very closely. Thanks It doesn't look bad that way at all & better IRL than what the pics show. Quote:
When on the standard mount the visibility is fine when the wing is down flat, but when angle was added at the track it really blocked the rear vision. I really like that I have the best of both now. It takes five minutes to remove the risers and drop it down low for street. Quote:
This is a fraction of what was out. I love it when the owners of this type of equipment get out on the track and drive them the way they were designed to be driven. BTW, we had four Z4MC out that day.

It's very straight forward.
The plastic trims & hatch cover have to be removed for the coupe , I'm not sure with the roadster. The belt reel is in the boot, behind the trims.

Love it Ian! Low profile for street looks and big, performance GT-style for track!
So, does the wing not work at the original height, or what's the deal?

The wing definitely works at the original height, but is more efficient at the raised height as it's more directly in the air stream. Rear vision is also much better at the raised height.
