Intermittent static through speakers

Have 2500 miles on the car with HK audio and just noticed this issue this morning. I can play the same song and one time there will be a light static sound and the next time the static is gone. Anyone else have similar issues?

I had the car coded a few weeks ago but that is the only thing I have touched.

Any ideas?

I have noticed that Active Sound occasionally overpowers the amp and/or the speakers in my car, generating distortion. Could this be what you observed? Does the "static" tend to occur at high RPMs?

Interesting point that I will check on the ride home. I drive the car in Sport 95% of the time and typically keep the rev range between 2.5-4k so maybe that has something to do with it.
