Crash while coding :/

Here's a fun one. Got all hooked up coding yesterday (thanks Shawn!), did some last night & all went well. Today I was trying a few more tweaks....specifically working on enabling the mirror fold from keyfob/CA. I am new to this, so I'm not totally clear if there are multiple ways to code the features. So, for clarity, I was coding as outlined in this video:

Sorry if this is way over the top, but for clarity, specifically I did this:
  1. Clicked on FA
  2. Clicked the "Read SVT..." button
  3. Highlighted the SVT branch I wanted to edit (FEM_BODY in this case, for the mirrors)
  4. Clicked the "Read Coding Data" button
  5. Expanded the folder that appeared, clicked on the module, and selected "Edit FDL", entered PIN when prompted
  6. Made my edits
  7. Hit the save button, then back button to return to Expert Coding view
  8. Right clicked on FA & selected "Adtivate FA"
  9. Clicked on the SVT branch I had just edited, then clicked the "Code FDL" button
At this point the coding started and I'd received a few update messages in the displayed log, but then my crappy laptop crashed.

So, here are my questions:
  1. Does this thing recover from crashes gracefully, or is it possible something was truncated or otherwise hosed in a possibly incomplete transmission?
  2. Is there a way to reload all of the factory defaults, and would that be worth doing? (To ensure all the stuff that should be there is there.)
  3. Anything else I should know or do (aside from not using a crappy laptop)?
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

No replies, but I thought I'd post a quick follow-up of my own. It seems that everything is fine on my car. Some of the settings I was trying to code when it crashed took...some didn't, but I just re-changed & coded them & it seems like it's all good.

And, man, do I enjoy Euro MDM!

"Crash" while coding...tip - don't code and drive at the same time..texting and driving is bad enough.
