Double Compliance - VonMayr and Rowanbuds
A beautiful Bavarian spring afternoon in Fussen saw two M3's at the famed Neuschwanstein photo spot - RowanBuds Le Mans Blue and vonmayr Sakhir Orange
Both are dirty from hard use in wet weather.... For your viewing pleasure, I present the following image. M3's ROCK!

Nice long distance connection. Amazing that the schedules worked out like they did. Did either of you guys find out who owned the SS M3 that was in the hotel parking lot?

May be skewed by spending most of my time on this board, but also looks this way from the other sites ED delivery camera. Did you get a similar vibe?

Never know though. While we didn't bring our two (15 and 9), I can assure you if we did my wife wouldn't have cared what speed we were going on the autobahn.....as long as the conditions were safe to do so. Then again a guy with recaro baby seats could just be dreaming and well reigned in by a less than enthusiastic partner Btw, love how you guys were able to meet up! My wife had a friend who was taking an ed for her S3 at the same time we were over there, but we never got to meeting up. We were 3 sheets to the wind when she called.

Dropping car off in Zurich this coming Tuesday. Then train to A'dam, then flying to Iceland for (at least) 3 days. Pending icelandair pilots strike.
Definitely have some good video. Unfortunately the Grossglockner was closed on the only day I could've done it, but such is weather. The hope to drive Grimsel/Furka/Susten also was hampered by the trip being in May instead of August, although I did drive the Fernpass yesterday and the Gotthard today. vonmayr, how'd the autobahn treat you today? I went North, then West, then South en route to Vaduz and got in somewhere over 70kM of autobahn myself. Found the limiter, but didn't think enough to see if it existed in 6th, not 7th. Didn't want to run the rpms too high under 1,000 miles. Wow this car is a beast, huh? Sadly, I'm having issues finding the gopro footage from our run out to Neuschwanstein. The 4GB gopro file break up is really messing with me - I'll put in the time to decipher my 200 video files once back stateside. Not a good use of vacation time.

In case anyone is still questionable, the CCB's are fucking fantastic! Gotthard and Fern passes completed, as well as a highly spirited run into Lauterbrunnen and I had nothing but confidence in the brakes. Also - the complaints of these things in the wet!! WTF?? Drove in Bavarian downpours for around 750km and the brakes never once gave me pause. Reliable, positive, consistent, and worth it!

Got the dreaded rock-in-heatshield today, vonmayr. Cleared up after a few tries of bending it back, but difficult to get in there - especially after a mountain run. Just a little bit hot.
I do have something else to report on CCB though- after the heat shield incident and some really hard braking the pedal got mushy. I really didn't expect that. After two pumps of the pedal the feel came back, so I'm left to presume the fluid at fault. This mushy feel, then two/three pumps and feel returned was repeatable (maybe 5 times). I'll be posting a thread sometime before US redelivery to ask other CCB owners if they've had this issue. I have the whole run on video too - about 4.5 km. Hard braking up and down hill. After parking for petrol and a failed car washing attempt the pedal feel was back to normal. The squishy pedal was very disconcerting as the brakes have been rock solid thus far and it first occurred entering a low 2nd gear turn coming down from high 3rd. One of those moments.

My opinion would be if I spent $8000 on brakes, they better work each and every time perfectly even if I didn't work perfectly. I mean people are depending their lives on those things to work properly.
