Spotify issues

Hey guys,

Im quite new in this forum, but been lurking for sometime...

I am having a spotify connection issue to work in the car system. It was working perfectly (no error), with full functionality BMW-connect since day #1 for until about last week when the problem persisted.

I always connected the iPhone 6 via usb/lightning cable into the car. (I believe I have the latest iOS and latest spotify firmware.

I can easily click “OK” to ignore the error message, however; spotify wont sync properly such as; won’t show artist pics/details, and I can’t view my complete playlist from the BMW media player..

Does anybody know how to mitigate this problem?

Ok guys... found out that there's an on-going issue after the latest spotify update. The status is under investigation.

glad I am not the only one who has this spotify intergration issue with BMW.

I get this now. I've been using it via bluetooth which works find AND actually displays album art.

Displays album art/info for all tracks? My only displays for the first song played, then gets stuck there.

I ran the idrive update from BMW and updated everything on my phone and now it does album art/track info for all tracks.

Obviously I'd prefer the control-ability and quality of the lightning cable though

I took delivery 3/15ish so it would probably apply to you as well.

Ran the update yesterday on my f80 and everything works great- Album art and song information update for each individual song, without getting stuck on the first track. Now, if BMW can get ConnectedDrive to work over bluetooth, we'd be perfect! It is definitely doable, as I've seen in my friend's Mazda 6, all Pandora functions work over BT.

How do you run an update on iDrive? Is it done manually?

Download it to a USB key and plug it in. Want to say there is an update idrive option in the menu and you click that and it does everything else for you.
