Discussion: Sakhir Oranage with Full Amaro Brown Leather...

Ok,

I LOVE Sakhir Orange. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. But it doesn't pair well with many interior colors, save for black (SNORE!) or SS (Maintenance nightmare!).

Brown is, by far, my favorite interior on any car (Natural Brown on Porsche or Saddle Brown on regular BMWs).

What do we think of this color combo? Does Sakhir have just enough red to pull this interior color off?

There are quite a few pictures on this forum of the Sakhir Orange M with Beige or brown interior. Although I got black, I think the beige looks good.

Bro- dr leather is a life saver. Be bold and go with cocaine seats! (Opal white full merino) people will and think they're stepping into heaven every time they open the door!

Black may be boring, but SOM needs contrast. Brown interior just isn't sporty enough for this car. IMO

I LOVE SO with SS interior. The beige shown above in those pics does absolutely nothing for me. Red with Saddle Brown would be nice if you could get something like that

That's my car in the pics linked above. I'm probably a bit bias, but I love Amaro Brown with SO

It gets compliments everywhere I go and I got an unofficial "car of the week" from Detailer's Domain a few weeks ago hahaha. . .

I need to wash her (I've had to wait 2 weeks after installing Modesta) and then I'll put up some better pics with the windows open and stuff so you can see the way the car looks in the real world. Too much pollen right now.

The only other color than black would be SO leather. SO/SO is probably my second favorite color combo from the stock lineup.

That's why they give us options. Having SO, I could never have handled it with an SO interior - way too much !!!

I thought about this combo for more than 2 minutes when ordering. In the end, there isn't enough contrast and the SO interior is more brick red in person than the SO exterior paint. I think it would clash a bit.

SO and BLK are an excellent combo, snore(?), I think not. It actually makes the exterior color pop even more so. As does the CF roof and blk rims. A serious killer combination on the eyes as you drive by. Be glad it's back.

Quite right. The SO interior is much more brick red then the exterior. I agree with you totally.

I don't agree with that at all...I drove that combo on my dealers launch car and it looked amazing. Definitely not for everyone, and it's a lot of red with minimal contrast going on, but it worked well and the colors didn't clash at all, IMHO.

Why is SO on Black 'snore'? Just for the fact that it's a popular interior color? I didn't really care if my leather color was popular/mainstream or not but rather picked what I thought went best with the car / liked.

In my personal opinion, SO/SO was a bit much for me since the SO paint and SO leather looked like different shades of the same color, not an exact match.

SS leather seemed nice at first, but I think it goes well with a lighter color like Yas and didn't want to clean my leather that often.

Sonoma or Amaro were definitely the oddball leathers for me but couldn't actually see them in person. I had Canyon River Brown in my Z4 before this but it was MW.

Black was definitely the safe bet since I've had it before and I saw a SO M6 with black leather in which the combo looked great. Black is easy to live with and obviously doesn't really stain. Not that it really affected my decision all that much but I thought black leather would appeal to more people if I ever tried to sell my car (which probably won't happen).

Honestly, if I hadn't gotten the Exec package, I would've gotten the Carbonstructure. Those seats appealed to me but just couldn't get it past me to pass up on extended leather when it's included in the exec pack.

Personally, I think there's plenty of contrast in those pictures right there. Look at how much black is inside the car. Plus I'd get window tints on all my cars (way too hot in SC not to) so I think it would even better.

But my first choice is cloth seats so I really shouldn't say anything about leather choices

All black interiors are SNORE in general. All black hides the lines of a car and is pretty cold and unwelcoming. I don't hate it enough to not own it (my current car is blue/black), but other colors are much more interesting. The BEST interiors have contrast. For example, black with deviating seats and door inserts work best (browns, reds, grays). Some color on the dash helps, too. The best finish off, is when the floormats have the deviating color in leather around the edge. Yum. LOL. HAHA

I would get the cloth seats or black. No other color matches SO exterior.

Yes, that is how you define 'best'. Others define best as what works well with the exterior of the car, the softest leather, the design of the seats/dash, or what someone can easily take care of and live with. To say "all black interiors are SNORE in general" seems a bit asinine and offensive.

Haha, no I didn't mean I was 'deeply hurt or upset' but rather meant your comment could be taken as "aggressive or attacking". Sorry to burst your bubble.
