1M flicking Xenon headlights
When i drive the 1M at night, I notice the head light beams flick while going over bumps in the road.
I see there are many topics on this, not just 1 series BMW but a few models. I took the front bar off to have a look around and it all seems to be in check, just odd how the factory have mounted the headlights. They are screwed to plastic braces which are then only mounted to the car by a couple of bolts. Anyone experience this in their E82 or have a fix for it? |

When you say flick do you mean the headlight beams go up and down? I would imagine that would be normal and part of the self levelling of the projectors. Otherwise it could be a loose light bulb?

I've noticed this slightly too. I wouldn't call it erratic, but enough to think something is going on.
I did some research and found it does have something to do with the self levelling. If you switch your lights from 'auto' to just 'on' then it stops/reduces it as the self levelling only activates on the auto headlight setting. |
